RECORD: NATHAN EZRA
FILE STATUS: ACTIVE
SUBJECT: NATHAN EZRA
NATHAN EZRA is a multimedia Indigenous and Queer artist from Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory. Their work moves between digital media, acrylic painting, fibre arts, and beadwork, often combining several mediums within a single piece. The resulting works occupy an uncertain space between the familiar and strange, where memory, identity, and perception have overlapped.
What makes a person recognizable? What makes an entity look dangerous? Why does it feel like I've been here before? Why does it feel like someone is watching me? Why do I feel so alone?
In addition to their studio practice, Nathan facilitates workshops combining artistic expression and mindfulness. These workshops create accessible spaces for community members to reflect and explore creativity as a means of healing and self-transformation.
